Eligibility Requirements for Ontario Security Guards

The training can be undertaken either online or in-person at various authorized institutions, including private career colleges, community colleges, or licensed agencies. Step 2. Get Your Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C Certification:
Obtaining an Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C certification is a prerequisite for applying for a security license. While your 40-hour training program may not include this component, it's essential to verify and enroll in a separate course or service provider offering the certification. Numerous options, such as colleges, community centers, and hospitals, are available for acquiring your First Aid certification.


Step 3. Pass Your Licensing Exam:
Upon finishing your Ontario Security Guard Training course, you are required to undergo an examination administered by Ontario Security Guard and Private Investigator Testing (SERCO).
